A tweeter tweeted me on twitter a few months ago (after reading a post I’d published on this very blog) which read, “I didn’t know that you’re a writer!”

Subsequently a strange, spirited dance overtook the room, accompanied by intermittent squeals.

I’d been officially called a writer and it felt good.

Scrap good.

It felt phenomenal.

Because somewhere in me, since around the age six I’ve loved words. It seems to me that one of the most gratifying things in my life is inducing reactions in another person, with something I have written. Be it laughter, happiness, contemplation or even sadness.

I’m glad that you stopped by to read my blog. I am delighted to read your comments. If you’ve enjoyed or been moved by what you’ve read and you’d like to read more, then feel free to subscribe or join my Facebook page for updates. Or both!

  1. Hi Sarah!
I just read your “The Ultimate Question” post and it was so touching. Looking forward for more of your blog entries! 🙂

    keep posting! 🙂

    1. Thank you. I cried a lot when I wrote it. But I felt better for writing it, if you know what I mean.
Thank you for visiting and come again soon.

      I promise to keep posting!!

  2. Hi Sarah. You commented on my blog so I thought I’d check yours out! I like it and will be back to read more of your posts.
Whereabouts in Germany do you live? I went to school there (my stepfather was a soldier in the English Army). We lived near Paderborn in North West Phalia – do you know it?

    1. Welcome and great news!!

We live in the South, between Munich and Stuttgart. I haven’t been too far north yet, much to my shame after living here for six years. But I have a friend in Düsseldorf who I’ve been wanting to visit. Perhaps I’ll pop it on my 101 tasks…

  3. Ah, you like Photos, Cooking, Art…new places, chocolate , photos, laughter, hang on you are a kindred spirit!
We do get over the border here in the North a few times a year, but only to the south of Germany when I travel to Munich for work (not often sadly, last trip was 6 years ago).
You have a fabulous blog.. I’m going to enjoy going back though some of your older posts!

  4. Hello there! Thanks for stopping by my blog to try to boost my getting to join the 101. I am very tempted… Maybe when back from Ghana I’ll get my list down!
Lovely about and blog – will be back!

    1. Ghana? Fantastic!

Will be brilliant if you joined us. To further encourage you, I can tell you it’s definitely been one of my better decisions. 🙂

  5. Aloha Sarah!

I saw your blog link at Earlybird’s blog and thought I’d pay you a visit. I lived in Munich on Pariserstrasse from mid-December 1969 to early February 1970. Hated the cold winter, so flew to New York City to study music (violin) for 5-1/2 years. After 7 years abroad (I also lived in Thailand for a year), I returned to Hawaii, where I was born and raised.

Anyway, I love your entertaining blog! I’ll pop in again!

    1. Aloha Gigi!!

We live about 150km from Munich!! The winters are hard and long so I completely understand you leaving again. Thailand – wow – did you like it there?

I’m glad you like my blog, I look forward to reading your comments. 🙂

  6. I love words too. always have. journaled since 2nd grade and have stacks of them in my closet. I will be back to read more. I found you through najapost. I look forward to reading more. thanks.

  8. 🙂 Saw you at Tilly’s blog. Came over to say, “hello,” mostly because you have a kind face. I like your About Me; it’s short but sweet and informative. Nice blog. 🙂 Sam

  10. Nice to see such a forward moving blog with a nice and mellow vibe. I love to blog but I’m still working out a way to get more folks to comment and, well, build a community. My blog, ostensibly mind you, focuses on comics but also veers off on various tangents and random interests. Just enough to keep things interesting. You know, the solution is to be more chatty like I’m doing now. Well, enough blathering. You have a nice blog and I’ll keep checking in. I’ve done my tasks, by following, and liking! I only do so much of that—hmm, another thing I need to do more of.

    1. I glanced at your blog really quickly (because I’ve generally been an absentee for a while!) I will return I promise. My teenagers are comic mad so I’m sure they will visit your website too!

      1. Cool! I mix things up and will review things outside of comics too. And I always keep the casual reader, and those new to comics, in mind. Thanks for stopping by.

  11. I enjoyed reading your blog. You have a knack for turning life’s foibles into a humor fest. I’ll be back again to laugh at life with you.
